All active members of the North Carolina State Bar are required to complete 12 hours of approved CLE annually.

​Claiming Exemption from CLE Requirements

An active member of the NC State Bar may qualify for an exemption from the CLE requirements that is specified in the CLE rules, or apply to the Board of Continuing Legal Education for an exemption based upon disability, hardship, or extenuating circumstances.
